Well I looked at the sizing chart and thought my new rims / tires would work with no modifications but that's not the case. They are 5zigen 18" rims +43 offset and Nexen 235/40/zr18 tires. They clear the rear knuckles by a few mm. and the front barely rub.

I guess I'm going to have to get some wheel spacers.

What is the minimum clearance on the front knuckles to tires?

Should I use spacers all the way around or just the fronts?

I would have gone with an offset closer to 40mm. If your going to stick with those rims and tires, than spacers are needed. If the rears don't rub, just space out the fronts.

I have a very similar set-up to yours as I have 18x8.5 with a 44 offset and 235/40/18 Azenis RT-615's. I have 3mm spacers on all four b/c mine rubbed on the front and rear but the spacers gave it just enough clearance. I had to roll my rear fenders to as they where rubbing under heaver cornering. If your's fit on the rear then you should only need the to do the fronts. As far as the minimum clearance goes I'm not sure what the proper answer would be but I would think as long as there are a couple mm's of clearance you should be fine. I've had these wheels and tires on my car for about a year now and havn't had any problems.
