255hp Fuel PUmp to quite?

Well I just finished installing my 255hp and AFPR the other day and when I was getting ready to turn on the car I was expecting to really be able to hear the FP but nothing. The FP makes no noise at all as if the stock FP was still in place. Do you guys think maybe something is wrong with the FP or I just got lucky and have one of the very few quite walbro FP's?

You know I came here just now to ask almost the exact same question.

I was going to ask if Walbro redesigned there pumps or something.

Check this out.... Like 4 or 5 people I know have Walbro 255 fuel pumps and they all make noise like whoa. Pretty loud but they sound cool.

Anyway I decided to buy a Walbro 255 over the 190 because I plan to go bigger on my turbo later (currently have a Big 16G) so I figured why bother with a 190.

One of the things I was told was that when I get the 255, its going to over run my stock fuel pressure regulator and cause my car to idle like crap and idle really rich. Please note I also have 550cc injectors

Anyway I put in the pump expecting it to be loud and when I started up the car is made like almost NO noise. I can hardly hear it. I have to turn off my radio and almost roll up the windows to hear it running.

Also my car still idles right on 750 RPM, doesnt idle like crap, doesnt idle rich and I had to make NO adjustments to my MAFT or AFC2.

I'm almost wondering if I got the wrong Walbro pump.

Anyone know if they redesigned these or something?

I got mine like a year ago and hell yea it made a loud ass whine, it evens whine along with me signaling, but since I upgraded the exhaust I barely hear it now........

No I didnt rewire it but my exhuast is pretty loud so maybe its just drowning it out thats all.
