I went to the dyno for the first time since i got everything finished. I ran q16 fuel and pulled no timing. Afr's were around 11.7 until 5000rpm when i went way rich, like 10 to 1. I was more than impressed with what i made. There is no SAE correction either. I think with a little more tuning 400whp is possible at 22lbs.
My setup is

8.8 JE's
Crower rods
Crower stage 2 turbo cams
Mildly P&P head with standard size Ferrea SS valves
Portfueler fuel system
Hahn 20g turbo
Open 3" downpipe
Stock intake manifold and throttle body

I will post a video as soon as i get it from the dyno company

Awesome numbers man.

What is your fuel set-up? Do you use anything to control ignition or spark? Details! :thumb:

Its actually nothing more than a stage 5 HAHN portfueler setup. As far as the ignition i have a MSD 6212 that i bought from bigrand, but I am not pulling any timing at 22 lbs because i am running 116 octane fuel. My plugs looked fine after the pulls so i dont need to pull any timing. I cant wait to tune it up and see what it can do on the track with these bad boys.

I'm glad you got those numbers man, I can't wait to go that big....with megasquirt....did you happen to get tuned on pump gas at all or is your car strictly for the track?

When you went with the crower cams, did you what parts of the valvetrain did you upgrade right way...cause I think I want to pick me up a set.

By the way people who don't know, thats a dyno dynamic he dynoed on, which are true horsepower to the wheel resutls (load based dyno)....so if you did want to compare it to the dyno jet numbers a lot of people use you should add about 15%

P.S. don't forget to update the profile

I never got it tuned on pump gas. In Louisiana it cost me $100 month for liability only on insurance so i said to hell with it and turned it into a trailer queen.

As far as the cams i upgraded the entire valve train with crower springs and retainers.

Also can someone tell me how to put a link on my profile to my dyno sheet. I put the link into the spot its supposed to be when i edited my profile but its not showing up.

I'm anxious to see what kind of times you run. Looks likes a nice set-up. Hope your axles hold up! Drivetrain is under some decent stress at this point.. :thumb:

So let me get this strait, you just bought a hahn portfuler and basically just installed it. Absolutly NO tuning? Do you have any idle issues or sputtering? High FP? You are also using the MSD but you have not adjusted timing AT ALL from it?

I have a similar set-up to you with the 20G and everything and I'd love to see some numbers like that. What size injector are you running? Primary and secondary if you can recall. I also have access to C16 fuel so that would be helpful too. Do you ever drive the car around town? Run OK or is it tempermental?

Sorry to bomb you with questions but I'm about to upgrade my fuel set-up so some info would help. Good luck!

Holy crap I wanna see more! The setup you posted is almost identical to what I'm building. Minus the HRC setup. Your engine build is like a step down from what I'm building. This makes me really happy!

Primary injectors were blueprinted by Rc engineering at 235 cc/min, secondaries are the accel ones that HAHN sells in their kit and they are 500 cc/min

There has been extensive tuning to the map that came with the portfueler. Personally, i think, the map that comes with it sucks unless you have a stock head and even then it pretty much sucks. It was WAY to rich and peaked to early in the rpm range for my setup.

As far as driveability its fine. I just recently dropped insurance and stuff so its seen at least 7500 street miles. No problems at idle or cruising speeds over 35 or so. The only problem i had was driving through neighborhoods going 25 or so. My car would feel like it was missing or something but i blame the cams for this not the turbo system.

Now the timing question. No i am not pulling any timing at all, but i am running q16(116 motor octane or 120+ research octane). C16 is basically the same thing just without oxygenates in it. If you are running your car on pump you have BETTER pull timing or start ordering new pistons now. When i was on pump gas i pulled no timing until 9 psi and then pulled 1/2 degree per pound of boost and still i didnt go over 14 psi. You can use this as a starting point but if you cant read your plugs pull more timing sooner until you learn to read them.

Oh, duh... I am really tired so things are going over my head. I remember now. I stupidly was staring at the graph and was thinking it looked kinda odd...

Really nice build. I hope to be somewhere around there next year maybe. I'm going howell 2.2 stroker this winter. I can't wait! :thumb:
Sick picture with those huge slicks on. I love it.

Video looks good, and I'm pretty sure the numbers aren't gonna be too much off, however your numbers could have been higher if the car was strapped down a lilttle tighter. Also tire pressure is a factor too. That dyno is designed to hold the car down to a stop, if enough load is placed on it.

Just to show a compraison, I've included this video of the kind of readings you get when strap down a high horsepower car correctly.
(mods can delete this post in a day or so, really you could do it right now if you wanted too cause well you run ish around here, LOL)
