Toronto,
We'll I'm finally going to the dyno today to get tuned using this peice of crap emange and msd box.....LOL (its been doing fine so far).

I'm hoping to crank out close to 300whp, but I'm only planning on tuning to what I can run on pump gas only (good old 92 octane), and I'm only boosting to what is safe.

I'll post an update after D-day, wish me luck.

The E-Manage crap!?! I was thinking about getting one too...

Yeah dude, good luck with that! let us know how it goes.. :dsm:

well..crap is the word. I guess my 550cc injectors were a little over kill for the emange to handle (we calculated it correct using a couple of math formulas to enter in the correct size change from stock to 550cc),

Basically I had to turn my fuel pressure down to like 20psi and then didn't bother to tune and waste my time on the dyno because it still wasn't acting right.

I didn't know this when I bought it but the msd box doesn't let u make changes in real time when using a laptop. (oh you can view it though, but by the time u change and send it to the box its all over).

Basically I'm hitting up the MSnS route next week, and terry I'll be PM'ing you since I"m way behind on the actual specs of the MS systems. (what version are we on LOL)

hope to be tuned in a month or so, but it doesn't look like I'll make it before battle of the imports july 8th.

Wow, sorry to hear that Randy. Thats a bummer. Atleast your car sustained no damage and you cut your losses when you could. Hopefully the MSnS serves you much beter then the E-Manage.

...at least you can still drive your car :p

EDIT: w00t

This is true. I'm doing a little bit of road tuning today so that I boost a little bit better till I can figure out how to syphon my tuition money for my MSnS setup LOL.

Oh boy, I've got a lot of reading to do, both in school, and on MSnS

That sucks dude. I still think u should have dyno'd your car just to see what you could have done. Im almost there with mine Megasquirt is a mega PITA. I am slacking on getting pics but my project is almost done.

I'm actually still working on it, It turns out that I have to kinda keep my car running since I'm going to be up in school now, so I've fixed most of the fuel issues, and the little vac leak that was in my vacume box.

Reset the codes, now the only problems I'm running tuning so that I'm rich enough in the top end.

I'll probably spend a couple hours on the dyno next week, and if I'm lucky still make it to batttle of the imports.

IMO the E Manage is not designed for the eclipse when there are many other alternatives.

Agreed, however I wouldn't say there are many alternatives.

I only see a couple for high boost apps.

8 injectors setup (ie. hahns's porterfuler)
MSnS
and I guesss if u want to include it, (SAFC)

Any others?

I would say haltech, but I only know of one member here running it, and he was having some issues after resetting the ecu or something. Plus the cost of haltech is out of mosts peoples budgets. I'm thinking of things under $1500, but I guesss I really didn't state that earlier.
