20g install not quite that simple!

This whole process has not been as smooth as one would think.
I finally got my 20g back along with waiting for misc items to mount the turbo. I now have everything and proceeded to put it on last night. I had to dent my water pipe in order to have my manifold sit flush. Once that was down the damn turbo inlet is practically pointing straight at the water pipe port that goes to the lower radiator hose. My first initial thought was just the coolant hose was in the way. That's not the case. There's not enough clearance for a 2.5 to 3 inch coupler.
The turbo is mounted with a 2g exhaust manifold. The water pipe is a 1g NT. I'm brainstorming ideas of what I can do to clear the water pipe. Will a FP manifold position the turbo far enough to clear? A manifold spacer and longer studs? If I go this route I'll need to a) trim the WG bracket that is mounted on the compressor housing or b) swap out my stock fan with an aftermarket.

buy aftermarket fans and run them as pushers on the opposite side of the radiator cheapest solution . Most people running a t3 20g would be running and external wastegate so this would be a different setup .
 
I thought about that coupler. I have a 2.5 to 3 in coupler n the coupler was having issues clearing. Seems the length is just long enough to get in the way of the water pipe.

I was also thinking of ditching the 3 in intake pipe for a injen type. It looks like those reduce to 2.5. Maybe a 2.5 to 2.5 may clear.

Damn this sucks. Oh well. I'll put some more thought into it.

I used a spacer with my 16g that's similar to your 20. It went between the manifold and head and you use longer studs. I also shaved the cover in a few spots to clear better. Didn't have to dent water pipe and everything else fit.

What kind of 20G set up is this? what about running a 45 degree coupler or 90 straight up to sit closer to the headlight with a custom intake?
