It's that time again... time to start accepting entries for the 2009 DSMtuners Calendar. This year we will be accepting entries differently than in years past. All entries will need to be emailed in, not posted in the forums.

All photos must meet the following requirements:

- Must be no smaller than 2500 pixels wide

- Must be no less than 200 dpi resolution

- Must be of a photo of YOUR car, not some car you took a photo of

- You must own the rights to the photo or have permission from the owner to give it to us

Do NOT send us any photos that do not meet the above criteria.

To get started, send me an email to info @ dsmtuners.com (no spaces) and include the following information:

Your full name, your address, your phone number, your DSMtuners username, the car year/make/model, the dimensions of your photo, the resolution, and any notable accomplishments/achievements with the car, and the actual photo(s).

I'll reply with information on how to send the image file to us for consideration.

We will stop collecting submissions by November 1, 2008. After that date I'll have the Wisemen and Moderators help me choose the photos that we will use in the calendar. So go out and start taking some photos of your DSM now!
 
Chris, can I re-enter since I was in 07's calendar? :) I still can't understand why no one has entered. The forum only says this thread has 47 views (We have this problem every year). Any way we can make it more visible?

+1 LOL my only "notable" achievements aside from wins in autoxs is being the cover and a month in the '08 calendar.

Sure, send them in. I can tell you we'll be trying to choose someone who hasn't been chosen before, but it won't necessarily rule you out.

Entries must be emailed for consideration, no gallery entries will be considered because we have no idea if you have the larger resolution of those photos.
 
Chris, I currently have about 5 pictures to submit, but will probably take some more before the month is out. I'm going to send you an e-mail in a minute with the info you requested in the first post. Is it ok to not give you all of the dimensions and resolutions, as long as they qualify? And then just send in more pictures once I get them?
 
Just my personal opinion here, but I liked the previous years where we could actually post pictures in the thread and everyone could view the candidates. I just liked seeing what all was out there, don't know what everyone else likes though.

Problem with doing it that way was that we'd chose the winners and then find out that they didn't have a hi-res version of the photo and a lot of time was wasted.

Why wouldnt you put that in as a requirement then for an entry?
 
They did on previous calendars, but people still entered without having the hi-res pics. An easy way to fix this would be to have Luda put up the pics that are submitted in the mail to him.

People have selective reading like me (I did it 2 years ago, posted but never had a hi-res, duh!), so it really doesn't help to even include it as a requirement. The rules this year seem very straight forward with the intention to make everyone's life easier, and get the calendar released on time.

We did and people posted their photos anyway.

Here's the deal. By having people post their photos for consideration here on the site, then contacting the winners, it just adds a second step to the process that doesn't need to be there. If you want to be considered, just email your photos to me and we'll choose the ones that will make it in that way. It saves us a lot of time and headache.
