2-step and ALS

2-step and ALS...what are they?

Reading on the link forums I guess I should look into using them at the track on the 21st.

How do I set them up...what exactly do they do?

How are they used?

2 step is a stationary rev limiter. It's purpose is to get the rpm's high enough so that when you launch the car doesn't bog. With the limiter you can just put the pedal to the floor and not worry about holding it at specific point.

ALS is anti-lag. It retards ignition timing to the point where combustion is still taking place when the exhaust valve is opening. The extremely hot exhaust gases help spool the turbo when you're about to launch.

For the 2 step, I usually start around 5500 for an AWD car. I suggest learning to launch with the 2 step only. Once you get that figured out then you can play with anti-lag. Start it at whatever the minimum setting is( I think it's 5 degrees).
