yes i am having some problems understanding this 2 step control thing. i thought dsmlink came with a 2step already in it. i just want to know the real way to hook a 2 step up. thank you for your time and reading

also i wanted to know what other parts i might have to make this work. thanks

Nvm about that link but if you have dsmlink it should be in your first tab where you adjust idle, tps offset / scale.

DSMLink comes with Launch Control, which I guess you could call "1 Step". It sets the rev limit to a certain point until a certain speed. It should be in the Misc tab or the first tab. Click the box to enable launch control and then set the rev limit and speed. 2-step is just launch control with 2 set RPM limits and speeds. You would need a separate ignition controller and it's pretty useless on an AWD car.

Yes, with an aftermarket ignition controller like these:

MSD 6-Series Ignition Boxes - JEGS

But they are incredibly expensive, hard to install, and useless once you get DSMLink. Just wait until you can afford Link.

Or for an auto, the dynatek ign control..

Then again, also adding a chip with 2 step is another option..And you also have to wire the 2 step from the brake(auto) or clutch 5 speed, in order for it to turn on.

And dsmlink,ohh and evoscan/ceddymods.

I have a custom tuned chip by My1gdsm..He's a freelancer, does great work.

Your car is a 95..If I were you, I would pull the ecu out, open it up, and find out if its an eprom, and then can be socketed real easy.

Link would be the easiest, but not cheapst thing to do..

With link, you tune yourself, you can save multiple tunes..Really the best bang for your buck.Because with the new v 3.3 it has about every option you want.

Some of us have an open door policy..Please feel free to pm me, rather than making new threads.

I might not know the answer, but if thats the case.I probably know who does.:thumb:

Actually these boxes are for vehicles with a distributor. For a dsm you'd have to get a dis box which is for cars with coil packs
