Just a Show of hands, who would do the 2.4L swap with srt4 internals, or build the 2.0L with forged internals,? Please explain why.

Thats a bit vague. what are you plans? HP figures? is it a DD? Do you like to rev high? Do you have the knowledge to rebuild on your own? Are you pockets deep ?

you must have an idea what hp numbers u want im set around 550 the least

since ## pockets are deep id go with a 2.0 gt42R unlike u stroker guys i like my revs even though with your deep pockets you can rev just as far with your stroker as a 2.0 can your just going to have to rebuild more often than usual, But with all that said great maintenance of any car is a gigantic plus for the driver/owner. Worst off its a dsm high maintenance FTL

Ok ok ok, ide say about 350 to 400 hp.

You'll be fine with a 2.0 50trim. You're goals won't really require deep pockets.

I'm getting that at 12psi on my 2.4L. If you're building a 2.0L from the ground up, a 2.4L is about the same cost, there's small odds and ends but it's worth it for a mainly street car.

If those were with my hp goals i'd go with a midly built 2.0, but that's just me.

does no one else notice that he is a 420a guy??? I would say if the price is right on the srt block, get that and then do some port work to your head, if it fits, and then run that set up. A 2.4 will help spool the larger turbos, and I saw my gas milage go up since they are torquer.... not that a fwd always likes that

Yes, faster turbo spoolups is one of the reasons why im doing the 2.4 “stratus block,” swap, I wish I could Post this under 420A section, but since it says im new I guess I can’t. This thread was also directed toward the 420A guys. But thanks for your guys input!
