2.4 wide block

I am looking to build a 2.4 wide block for my Datsun. As such I was wondering what all they were available in and if there are any particular model of cars/trucks to be on the look out for? I found one in a 1990 D50 pickup but when I went out to the junk yard to pull it this weekend (Only time off from work.) someone had beat me to it. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. I did find a few Gallants while I was there but didn't know if they would be the same of worth pulling. Thank you in advance.

Are you looking for a 4g64 block from a DSM to put in your Datsun?

In which case, the 2g Spyder's came with them. You can also find them in some non-turbo Galants. Neither one will be turbo, but you can fix that.

Do you plan on using your stock Datsun transmission or using something else? What Datsun? FWD or RWD? Plans for the engine? We need some more information to help you out more.

Thanks for the reply (Despite our verbal volleyball PMs). To give you a little history on my Datsun. It has run a best of 9.52@152 with a SBC and a 300 shot of N2O. While a progressive system would drop the ET and put it more in line with the MPH I have REALLY taken a liking to the 4G63 motors since buying both my daughters 1G cars and talking with Dave Baschur (Super cool cat.) while in Ohiio visiting Red Armstrong. I have my SBC sold and am trying to find a 2.4 block to put in the car. It will be mated to the TH400 that is currently in the car. I have several turbos lying around from my Grand Nationals and will most likely use the TE63-1,a set of HKS 280 cams and an AEM DFI I hope this clears up what I am trying to do with the car. Thand you for your time and any help you can provide.

look at the late 80's mightymax's. and for some reason i had better luck with the auto's. i found my 2.4 wide block in 88 mightymax auto.
also what trans are you going to use?
if you are real lucky for 2 years mazda used the mitsu G54b (wide block) in there b2600. that bellhousing will fit a wide block and fit a rx7 trans.
