I came across a 2.4 block 4g64 but it looks like its bacxkwards the intake is in the front and the exhaust is in the back. can I use it to build it and drop it in my 95 eclipse?

What is it out of, I dont think any 4g64 is backwards like that. I thought the 3g's had a whole new motor.

The 2.4's came in 2g eclipse's, expo's, and some others. It should work, unless it really is backwards.

The block can not be BACKWARDS, the head can have the intake/exhaust on other sides but not the block. You are supposed to use your tubo head and the 2.4L block so I would think you would be fine. I guess if the timing components are on the wrong side then it wouldn't work but that wouldn't seem to make sense.

Yes the timing components are in the same location just the head is fliped also the knock sensor is going to end up being in the front from what i was looking at unless there is a pulg on the other side of the engine for it.

3g's did come with the 4g64 but I don't know if you can use one in a 2g or 1g. I would think so but I've never done it??
