I am trying to bolt the flywheel to my 2.4 7 bolt crank and the bolts dont even touch the threads. Its a 2.3 stroker with a 01 2.4 crank. Dont know if it matters but its a exedy flywheel with arp 7 bolt flywheels bolts. Even tried old bolts and same result. please help ....
 
No it ran before and tryed useing old bolts and they have same problem. Every ever had an auto in shop ever. I guess I have to grind down crank..
 
Yea just put starter on and it dont even touch the starter heres a pic

aint it suppose to be flush????

That crank is from an automatic car. You need to remove the torque converter alignment bushing from it. That is the part sticking out in the center. Take a pair of vice grips and clamp on one side and tap with a hammer. It will start to move, than move them to the other side and tap again. You will have to go back and forth until you get it out.

about half way down the blog. It sounds crazy, but it works with ease!


Yeah some guys use grease but every time I have tried it I get grease every where and the shitta paper is tons cleaner. A broom handle rocked back and forth can work as well but you have to do the tp when someone is around that hasn't seen it.
"Let me get my tool" walking to the crapper. Make sure to close the door and clank the toilet seat too. Flush toilet and walk out with a hand full of wet tp for full effect. ROFL
