2.3 7Bolt Head Gasket

I have a 2.3 7 bolt with 100mm crank and .040 over pistons (86mm). Is it okay to use a 87mm felpro permatorque head gasket?

My cometic MLS 86mm gasket blew. Engine is pushing coolant and i see signs of oil in the coolant.

I ran that gasket with my 85.5 bore and will continue to run it now that it's 86mm. I vote go ahead.

you can run it no problem it will just lower your compression a little bit

Is copper spray recommended or not?

Before you decide to take a members word on this ,look around the forums for previous mention on this, it has been said that its not recommended to use copper spray on an MLS HG but its not necessarily bad either. More times than none I have seen on this site to use Copper spray on a composite HG. To each his own.
the kit the op links, is of an MLS HG, Not a Composite.

But remember to have your Head an Block mirror finish prior to install.

opps i missed it being a mls. Ive heard to use and not to use on mls but Ive never heard of using it on a composite?

Felpro states directly not to use spray with that gasket. It comes coated from felpro, solvents in the spay coatings dissolve the factory coating.
