i have 92 eclipse gsx awd turbo. Turbo went bad so we took it off. Wen i start the car it will fire right up but it wont stay idled. If i give it gas it will run but as soon as i stop giving it gas it will die. Its a 2.0 l 4g63 engine. I really need help on this.

You...took the turbo off..and you wonder why your car won't run?

Maybe it's the GIANT VACUUM LEAK you just created?

I just want to rage..so hard..right now..

my idle problem was there with the turbo. I needed to drive the car to and from work so we replaced the turbo and all of the piping with parts from a non-turbo engine. we have no intake leakes unless they are coming from the throttle body. Not sure about the throttle position sensor or the speed adjusting screw. I am using a maf sensor from a chevy v8 with a piggy back ignition system. all of my idle problems started suddenly and havent changed with or without the turbo. Any help or ideas will be great.

Yes it is MAF translater and we are using a maf from a gm LS1. Not sure if we have to remove it since we are not using the turbo right now or not. We are still using larger injectors. i am wondering if we have an intake leak at the throttle boby. when we give it throttle it runs great but it will die when we let up. we have set the timing and adjusted the idle screw with little change. Maybe just a bad TPS.Not sure kinda shooting in the dark right now.

alright, whats your idle knob set to? Like is it turned to the left or the right? I believe its supposed to be turned to the right because the idle is the only knob that operates backwards of the other ones.

Anyone else want to jump in here, my knowlegde is a little fuzzy.

U replaced pipings from a non turbo engine on your turbo engine?
Don't know but isn't it neccesary too mount turbo engine pipings on a turbo engine? XD
