Alright I finally got my car somewhat driveable on the road so i decided to make 2 pulls one there one back. I let the car warm up for like 5 mins idling. I had to basically guess on the safc, as i had no previous tuning. I have a 2g mas and 650cc injectors. Mind you, i have no idea how to interpret this and it was on a completely bs'ed setting based on what ive heard (2g mas + 650's on 1g = -10% across, i set mine like -9 -8 -7 -6- 5 etc... better to run rich than lean) i set on my safc.

my o2 sensor says Ford on it and i have a new bosch on the way. Im not sure how new my knock sensor is but i think its working because i did get some sort of knock reading.

Please get back to me, i appreciate it in advance.
Also, when i did these runs, i noticed some whitish smoke when i went WOT. its a brand new turbo and im not concerned because it was only a very faint smoke. im guessing it was because im running untuned.

idk if its my topic naming or what, but i can never seem to get responses like everyone else. perhaps i should make everything caps, include wiseman, or add some *'s and !'s. someone please help me here.

You've got plenty of timing, very little knock, decent O2 readings and good fuel trims accross the board. What's the problem? Whish I could get mine tuned that well . . . .

you mean thats good? i honestly just made up a bunch of percentages on my afc and your telling me it doesnt need to be tuned at all? wtf?

from the looks of your o2 voltages, I would probably richen it up a little bit around those areas like at .88. That looks kinda low. If you don't mind me askin' what logging program are you using and would you happen to have a link for it or a copy you could send me? It looks like a pretty sweet program.

im using mmcd, its on their public site, just google for it, sorry i dont have a link. i just got back from doing another run today, and i got .90v at 100% throttle and no knock at all. i seem to get more knock when im off the throttle or perhaps thats just a hiccup sort of thing because im letting off from 100% throttle. i guess my wot is fine, but my low throttle is horrid. i mean i can get 1krpm to 100% fuel trim, but when i rev and "try" to hold at 2000 or 3000, it will stay there for about 6 seconds then drop significantly down to like 1000. my theory is its getting overflowed with fuel and drops, and once its burned up it goes back up again. and just to get the record straight, -% means leaner correct? i lost my afc manual but i would only think it makes sense. but on the other hand, im at -7% 1krpm low throttle and it idles fine and smooth. and this is all on 650's, 2g maf and a supra tt fuel pump, it all seems a bit strange that i dont need to lean it out being that these injectors are big. also, when i rev in neutral wot to like 5000, whitish smoke comes out the exhaust, its faint but it does appear. im guessing again, this is because it isnt tuned, but would running rich cause white smoke? or running lean? i dont want to blow my engine.

You need to put a few miles on the car to get the computer to settle down to some stable fuel trims. I put 160 miles on mine dinking around with it yesterday and it really paid off. I'm still having trouble with my mid fuel trim. But the high and low trims are in pretty good shape now. Did you read the "how to tune an AFC" on this site with the spreadsheet? It's really good and is basicly where I started. Once I got my fuel trims stable last night I transfered my 3k RPM LO Throttle setting off the S-AFC2 to all my HI Throttle points and started tuning from there. What a difference! Feels faster than my old 12.5 second RX-7TT.

Don't worry about knock when you let off. Worry about knock at full throttle right now. ;)

I'm at -18 @ 800 and -13 @ 1600 with a 2G MAF and 660's on a fully built -6 fuel system.

White smoke is steam(if cold) or oil. Too rich is black.
