Well let me start off by saying that dsmlink is the best investment I've made yet.

But here are a couple problems I ran into:
1) On dignostics it read code 31: Knock circuit failure...how do I fix this?? It seemed to read knock pretty well so what could be the problem.
2) Timing dropped down to -5+ when I started to boost and slowly made it's way up, so I let off the gas pretty quick. And the knock count didnt go up that high, maybe 4-6 at the most. Is this pretty bad?
3) Laptop froze when it's battery ran low....I just wanted to say this part really blows because it only let's me use it for an hour.
I dont know if this might contribute to the problem, but I'll throw it in anyway.
My block is built and I have a smim on a fairly stock head. I havent added the exhaust and the rest of the upgrades yet, but I cant really work on my ride when it's freezing out.
And my ecu is chipped for 660's, but I'm still running 450's.

So can anyone help me out? I hate it when I dont know the answer so this is going to be bugging me for awhile. Any info will be greatly appreciated. :D

If you had DSMLink setup for 650's and you are running 450's, you need to stop driving your car and quickly read the manual. Set your global fuel to 0% and set the deadtime to 0. Your running dangerously lean with settings for 650s.

Have you been to the DSMLink forums yet? They are filled with a huge amount of information and Thomas and Dave are always there to help out if you are having problems. The forums are one of things that make DSMLink such a great product. Also read the tuning guide and manual for DSMLink to get a better understanding of it.

Good luck.

You should get on the dsmlink forums, there is NO BS that goes on there only staight to the point things... and all the guys on that site know there stuff!

Yeah I went over there and there is alot of information that I needed. I did what you guys told me and my car is running alot smoother. I also dont see that much timing pulled anymore and it only drops to about 12 when it's boosting, knock count only goes to 3 degrees. I think I'm ok, but I havent really took the car up to redline because the motor is being broken in. Thanks again.
