Need some input on latest log

Turned boost up to 21psi last night. Got it tuned with the safc for a good timing curve. Once it got to 6100RPMS timing rose to 18*! It stayed at 18* from there to redline. Should I try to get where it will raise another degree or 2 through the 6000-7000 rpm range or will it be fine at 18* across? Thanks in advance!

Your timing is dependant on the internal timing/airflow map in your ECU. The more air you are flowing the more timing the ECU takes away. You are not on the maximum point of the airflow map right now. Once you see 16* of timing (with no knock) in the 6-7k region, you are on the max airflow table.

Increase boost until you start to see knock. At the rpms that you are seeing knock, pull the timing until the knock goes away. You will be better off with a few more psi and a little less timing.

Dont have my logger with me, Im at work. It dipped as boost hit then steadly climbed till 6000rpms. It didnt dip but it leveled out acroos 6000-7000 rpms at 18*. Should I try to add some more fuel so it will add another degree of timing or will I be fine at 18 degrees across 6000-7000. I know if it is knocking it will pull timing and its not doing that.

Did some searching. If the ecu is seeing 7 counts of knock it will hold timing. If this is wrong someone let me know. If Im right ill play with the afc some more.

Yeah thats exactly what I was thinking. I wasnt sure if it could be knocking and hold timing. I found my anwser a few post down that at 7 counts of knock it will hold timing. I can play with the afc and get that out. Thanks
