that really doesn't look too bad, nice log!
Are you high? LOL It's PIG rich and the timing advance sucks.

I'd take some fuel away from 2K up to redline. Start with about -5% then go from there. You've probably got room to remove 10-15% but just go in small steps :thumb:

:| Another thing, you've got DSMLink!!!! Log knock from now on and not airflow for tuning.

Is the A/F Ratio from a wideband, or is it the one from dsmlink? If it's not from a wideband, you're wasting your time. Also, why are you giving us the #'s from before you even spool the turbo? LOL. I have a 50-trim and I start to get boost around 3k, full boost a little before 4k. I can't see you getting boost much quicker than that with a 2.0. Make a log from 3.5k to 7k (or where you shift). It will be much more helpful. ;) Good luck!

Alright thanks, ya but i thought it would be worthless to show you the knock readings since they were all at 0, since i only went up to right around 5000rpm's.

ya the A/F was from the dsmlink, alright i'll go out tonight and make a few more logs.

Use an air compressor and do some boost leak tests. Once you know it's solid you can start fine tuning but like I said, you're really rich right now and that is most likely causing your random knock counts. Get that timing up in the high teens and the )2 volts .95 or lower without inducing knock. good luck

You would get a better analysis and suggestions from actually posting the log file to the DSMLink forums. The forums are what make DSMLink such a outstanding product IMO.

Just my 2 cents

O2 voltage's mean absolutely nothing. I have seen 11.4:1 equate to .96 and i've also seen it equate to 10.5:1. That being said, i've also seen .92 be dead on for 11.4:1. I know a/f as measured my DSMLink is not that accurate, but I have put in a different specific gravity for 93 octane (different than what it should be - .78) and have found that it was fairly accurate as compared with my FJO wideband (within .05 to .2). You really need to do a full log up to around 7k to get a getter idea of your timing advance. Alot of other factor's will come into play such as your airflow, coolant temp and intake temp's.

I wish i could get on those forums, but they guy i bought the ecu and dsmlink from doesn't have the serial code for me so i'm sol.

Looks better. Keep goin man, take some more fuel out. Your timing is still low and no knock so you've got some room to lean. Did your O2v get away from 1.00?

the O2v went down some its now going between .94 and .98

How can you say his timing is low? That is about what stock timing is at that rpm (16 is max advance at 6k plus). You havn't asked him if he is advancing timing any. If his intake or coolant temps are at a given level..the ecu can also pull abit of timing for that.

As for his O2 voltages, yes, 1.0 is probably rich, but regardless, I never liked to tune according to those pre wideband. He should tune according to knock imo.

Because I've been talking to him via PM. And his timing is low and his car is far from stock (look at his mod list). I told him to leave the DSMLink timing adjustments alone until he gets a somewhat decent air/fuel tune, then he can start messing with timing if he wants. For anyone who's learning how to tune, I wouldn't recommend anyone to mess with timing AND fuel adjustments at the same time. Learn one, then the other.

If you want to help him, help him but stop contradicting everything I say unless you know I'm wrong about something. You have your way and I have mine; I don't like .98-1.00 O2v and I will lean until they go down (providing no knock counts) regardless of timing. Timing differs on every car, 16 might be super high for your car, but I like the low twenties for mine and I recommend shooting for ~18-22 timing to other people with a good list of mods. Also, knock is still zero from beginning to end on his log so there's no need to get your panties in a bunch yet.

Violater101 is correct, , looking at playitlouddsm's profile, he has 50 trim, and assuming he is running anywhere above 13 psi, he will be in max airflow. Max timing for max airflow table is around 16, no matter what you do you will not get any more timing than that(every car is the same as long as they use the same 2G ECU), unless you add timing via Dsmlink sliders, or you are hiding air via (S-AFC) type of device.

In perfect world, with no knock, with normal intake and coolant temps, max timing he will get on his 2G car is around 16, so looking at his data I don't see anything wrong, he can take some fuel out and that may make his car faster but it will not give him more timing.

So what i'm hearing here is that i can keep pulling fuel out until i see knock then add some back in, once i get to that point whats next? adjust my timing, or adjust the air flow?
