1st gear slips out

hey i was wonderin if anyone here could help me. iv got a 1g tsi and i am having trouble getting the car going. I can start the car, but when i put it into first and gearand start to push on the gas, 1st gear slips out of place and it makes a wierd noise and then revs the engine up. yes, the shift knob is all the way into the first gear place. Please help some one. thanks

Get it checked out by a transmnission shop before you blow it, mine was slipping out of 2nd and 3 days later it blew. No more tranny.

d@mn that sucks , ill try to go get it checked out, any one else have any other thoughts?
