Ok, i finally got my car running but am having a problem with the exhaust manifold heating up really fast at idle. I havnt drove it yet because im afraid something will badly go wrong. My turbo is spooling up at idle and when i give it gas it stutters really bad and wont go above 2K RPMS. is this is problem with my wastegate actuator or anything like that or could it be timing related? I am not overheating at all, its just the exhaust manifold that gets really hot.

My thoughts were either vacuum problem and the waste gate not opening, timing is off, or a problem with the actuator itself. Any thoughts as to what this could be? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.Thanks.Shawn

well if you have a logger that would help to see what timing doing.
Do you have a boost gauge? whats your vac at during idle?
check your ic pipes for boost leaks
what year is your car? are you using a 2g head? if so did you swap plugs Swap Plugs 1 and 4 with 2 and 3 (order is not important)(straight from magnus)

also did you do the random missfire fix?

I have a 95 using a 2g head. I swapped the plugs right, but not the injectors. I have a boost gauge but i havnt hooked it up yet...prolly a good idea to do that? I dont have a logger so cant check the timing that way.
