Allright, so I bought a a/t 1992 Talon awd with a great body and interior a year ago. It's been sitting there for a while because the valves are bent. :beatentodeath:

I recently found a guy who sells his m/t 1991 Talon awd. The car is 200 miles away from my place, but the owner can bring it right at my house on a trailer if I pay for the expenses.

He wants 600$ for the car + money for the gaz and trailer rental. To an overall of 850$ CAD. Which I believe to be a good deal.

The goods::thumb:
-low km engine, transmission and transfer case.
-centerforce clutch
-real Greddy type rs bov
-nkg spark plug wires
-holley fuel injectors
-17inch mags
-ractive dual tip exhaust (actually looks pretty nice)
-rust free undercarage

The bads::notgood:
-Car is accidented (rolled)
-Interior is shot due to weather
-broken passenger front axle

The question is:
Is the a/t to m/t swap the same even if the donor car is a 1ga and mine is a 1gb. Will it fit correcly?
As opposed as if both car were 1gb's???

If not, whats the difference, and is it worth it? :confused:

(sorry for the ponctuation mistakes etc. I'm french LOL:coy:)

I have done two AT to MT swaps, you will be all right with the years you have. The biggest thing you will run into is wiring up the neutral and park safety switch. (i think thats what there called). I cant find the wiring info right now, if i find it ill post it up.

Thanks for the info!

Is it fairly easy to cut through the firewall to install the clutch pedal assembly?

I had the motor out on one, but the firewall is pretty easy to get through, i think i use a die grinder with a carbide tip. You also have to cut the firewall for the shift cables too.

Is it fairly easy to locate the right place to cut throught the firewall for the clutch pedal assembly and the shifter cable?
