1GB 7 bolt girdle plate

hey guys i was wondering if there is a thin metal plate that needs to be bolted on to the main bearing girdle that is seen on the 2g as i noticed that the 1g and 2g 7 bolts have a different oil pick up tube/ the 1g has a bracket attached to it that you bolt down and the 2g has no bracket just has two 2bolts to oil pump

my question is ...is there suppose to be a girdle plate on the 1g 7 bolt engine like the 2g and if so does it need to be there???

The windage tray/baffle plate is not found on 1Gs.
