hey i got a question... if 2 drivers with same skill and amount of cash into the car and one has a 1g and the other has a 2g who would be faster in a race?

Depends on how they decide to spend the money. 1g parts are slightly cheaper plus 1g's have a better turbo. Not all 1g's were 6bolt plus 6bolt doesn't mean faster just stronger. I personally am bias to 1g's for speed so i can't give a good honest answer.

well, based on the staged upgrade path on this website, to get 300 hp on the 1G there is no need to upgrade the tubo. the 2g's have to. i guess it depends on how much money and how fast your talking about, 300hp seems to be easier achieved by the 1g. i've read 1g are a bit lighter, and have seen many 1g's (awd) in the 13's with only exhaust and boost control, never a 2g.

so over all you guys think that the 1g could be a better car in the long run?

From the research and results I've seen 1g cars look more prone to being quicker off - well I mean just if you look @ the stock turbos the 14b vs. the t25 - if you would include the price of purchasing the car in the money you would have overall then the 1g would be unanimously faster - as 1gs will be cheaper but otherwise...it is kinda hard to say...I am sure you'd be happy with either one...

That's kinda hard to answer cause every car is different. Both cars are great for making fast, but both can give you problems too. Just from being around and seeing alot of impressive times, most of the faster cars are 1g's. Just from taking a quick glance at the top 25 1/4 times on here. 20 of the 25 top times came from 1g's. Hope that helps.

idk if price of the car and the price of the mods has anything to do with that what ou guys think?

see im kinda leanin towards a 1g i like them better and their cheaper and after i get one in decent shape i can sell my car and get all stage 1 and 2 mods done :) LOL anyone interested in an acura legend full leather and in prestine condition LOL hahaha  damn i hate my car...

I agree with most to a certain extent. If you are going to do upgrades to a car, be it a 1g or a 2g, the turbo aspect is going to come into play. If you did the same upgrades to the respective cars, it really becomes a matter of skill as a driver and the tuning of their cars. Tuning is the key.

I think he means that at any level of modification, part for part (each car having exactly the same thing done), the 1G would come out in the lead. I'm not sure if that's the case, but...

1G's are lighter, they're cheaper, and they seem to have a much more solid construction. My friends 2G (95) rattled like hell.
