For Christ's sake himself, you newbie's don't know how to read or search. ITS THERE FOR A REASON, USE IT. After you read THIS, read this.
:toobad:

these posts will never stop
Yea, I know. The mods should warn all these guys when they first post sh*t like this. 3 strikes and you're out kinda thing while you are under review. I don't know about you, but I'm getting sick and tired of seeing stuff like this EVERY DAY.

For your reading enjoyment. The short answer is that merely crushing the BOV will not allow you to vent the BOV at all; all crushing does is let the BOV hold more pressure before it releases. To properly vent, you need an air flow metering system placed after the BOV. Search for MAF Translator if you're interested in that.

Calm down, everyone. It's probably one of the first questions new DSM'ers have when they first get their car and want to impress their friends. Or worse yet, they have friends who "knew someone with one of those cars" and "they vented and it sounded cool, so you should too."

If you feel a post deserves attention from a moderator, whether it's a Frequently Asked Question, an improper subject, etc. feel free to use that "Report Post" and a moderator will deal with it if it deserves dealing with. Then you can silently move on to something else.

No I'm totally cool, I'm just sick and tired of seeing stuff like this every day, and nobody doing anything about it. It should be mandatory that all newb's should read the "Newbies Guide" before they can even post. Kinda like when you install a program, and you have to read the "fine print" and click "I agree to the terms and conditions of xxxxxxx". Seriously guys, this stuff is getting out of control, and lately I've seen nobody doing anything about it. I come onto this forum not only to learn something new, but to also help others with knowledge that I have gained from this site, and outside sources. But when you log into this section of the forum, and see stuff like this every day, or every other day, its old, really quick, answering the same question over and over, when all they had to do was click the "Search" button, and BLAMO! their question has been answered, or atleast part of it.
I'm done ranting now, and sorry for the long post, or the rude remarks earlier.
