1g tsi awd exhaust on a 1g tsi 2wd

i just picked up a 1990 talon tsi 2wd for a steal, just looking over the car there were some obvious parts that were in going bad, one being the exaust, mainly the cat back. i know that the tsi has a different exhaust and goes up and over the axel, but my question is will the exaust off the awd version work on the 2wd version with out clearence problems? none of the threads on here answerd this, thanks for any info.

researched it a bit more and answer is no, i kind of feel stupid for asking this; the back ends are completely different and the exhaust is therefore different

The fwd exhaust usually goes around the gas tank where the AWD goes under. You can always take it to an exhaust shop and have them make what you need with the exhaust you have.
