I just sold my twin turbo'd Cummins that ran 12.3 with a built auto and I'm looking to build an AWD DSM with a built auto because I loved run the track under constant boost and quick hard shifts.

I still have a lot of Cummins parts such as an HX35 that I plan on running in the Talon with and external gate and a lot of 1G DSM parts from my brother's AWD that ran mid 11's.

What would I need inside the 1g auto to hold the power I would need to run low 12's? The car will NOT be a DD I have an 05 Duramax thats EFIlived for that and tow duties.
 
This question has been answered a lot and you can find threads that cover all of it in this section but the short rundown is that the transmission itself should be happy with stock internals to run those times with a few additions.

Stiff motor/suspension mounts to stop wheel hop and save your diff from breaking.
Large transmission cooler because heat kills transmissions.
The right fluid (do a search).
New end clutches, these are internal but can be changed without pulling the transmission or draining the fluid.
Something to control line pressure such as the blue wire mod, Kiggly mod, or a programmed TCU.

At the very least I would recommend an end clutch kit, a larger cooler, a Translab shift kit and a proper torque converter (it is a hell of a lot easier for you to run fast with a high stall than with a stock converter as you're going to go 1/2 to a full second faster with the same horsepower level).

Of course, this is based on a transmission that is working well to begin with.
