1g trans in a 2g?

Is it possible to put a 1g trans in a 2g?

Iv done it. with the AWD swap. Not really that hard actully

I had a friend that I helped throw it on. It wasn't bad at all. But we also had the whole engine out and had the tranny connected and then dropped the car on it.

I like that a few people have said that they did it, but didn't say anything about custom fabricating mounts to make it work. 2g's have the front and rear roll stops on the transmission, 1g's have them on the engine, there are no holes to bolt the mounts to the 1g transmission so you will have to built the mounts from scratch. Also the 2g engine doesn't have any mount holes on the block so good luck with that.
