First off, is it the final drive ratio or the gear ratio I want to check out when swapping tranny's/x-fer cases and rear diff's?
After some discussion with Jon over at T-RIP transmissions, he told me that I can swap in the internals from a 1993 tsi awd in to my 95 awd casing. Both tranny's are manual's, but what I wanna know is is the gear ratio's the same that way I dont burn up my center diff or viscouse coupling?? I did do some researching because I forgot to ask Jon, this is the best I could come up with DSM gearing. Actual experiment [Archive] - Tampa Racing It states for 1990 gsx,1991 and 1995 talon awd's only, not the 1993 awd talon.
So if I use the 1993 awd gear set, will my 1995 xfer case and rear diff be okay along with my center diff?? Or do I need to swap input shafts or something else?
Thanks guys
