I've searched and found one article. I need more evidence. And proof of someone doin it, and maybe alittle fyi if possible.

My fwd trans is shot. I have access to a 96 spyder trans. Do i need axles, hubs, whats the deal. Will it work. Bellhousiong the same?

Thanks for the time.

Hey bro, to answer your question, yes you can. But you need to use your bellhousing as the 2G bellhousing will not work with your mounts because the 2G uses 3 mounts in the tranny and 1 in the engine contrary to our cars which use 3 to the engine and 1 in the tranny. I myself run a 96 FWD tranny in a 92 FWD talon, but i used my differential because of the axles. Long story short you need your bellhousing, differential, and just swap the 2G tranny internals to your bellhousing and you're good to go.

Just to play it safe replace all the synchronizers in the tranny you'll be using and you'll have a very happy shifting tranny.

Best of luck:thumb:

I'm talkin to another guy on another forum. He says I just need to find some big axles, like from a 93-94, and use the knuckles off the tranny side of the axles from the 96, where the trans is coming form. He also said I wouldnt have to change the bellhousing......

I see you have already done it, so I greatly appreciate your comments.
