i got a 91 tsi with alot of blood sweat and tears in it. ive had it for about a year and built the engine from the ground up by myself and im 15 i have a crap loud of stuff done to it.. i mean everything besides a front mount.. now i found a gsx and gst for sale or trade and the guy really wants my car and its gona be a straight trade two-4-one is it a good deal or ???? ### should i do ???:hmm:

Besides, 1g's are lighter anyway and look way better IMO
 
I wouldn't do it, I'm sure you've put time sweat and blood into your car to get it where it is, 1g's are lighter and a better platform for a 11 second car. I'd have to see all 3 cars to be sure though, but I'm 98% sure I still wouldn't do it.
 
I would do a trade. Like a guy said before,i would mod the GSX and dd the Spyder. 2G'S are way comfortable to drive then 1g's,Had both cars,had a 1g before,had a 2g,and now again i got a 2g again..... never going back to 1g ;)
 
IMO don't do it. Judging from the pictures you have its a beautiful car. And you have the flip up headlights. I would kill for the money to buy an AWD 1G with the flip-ups.

+1, he's probly going to just blow your motor in the first week cause its uber fast y0!

But still... if you want a 95awd(I did, and it got ####ing stripped by some mexican crackheads) you could just sell that gst and toss some money at the awd?
 
+1 on the GSX race car and DD the Spyder. IMO the 2g's are better in terms of looks but they are heavier.

If I were given that choice, I would take the the deal sell the Spyder and drop it into the GSX. OR you could sell the Spyder and buy another 1g with that money and have the best of both worlds. That sounds like a cool idea.
 
Sounds like he's desperate for your 1G... can't say I blame him.

If you want to waste your time getting those cars running the way you like, go ahead :)barf:). But there's no way I'd ever trade something I put that much work into.

I'll trade you a Jaguar, if you're accepting offers though. It was only half as reliable as a DSM, that should keep you busy. :D
 
I would do that in a heart beat if both are running correctly and are clean. If 1 of them is slightly dirty I would make him put more money on top of the deal. See how much you could get since he seems to really want a 1g. Sell the gs-t and buy another 1g and boom best of both worlds. I personally prefer 2g's over 1g any day.

Yup. They you'll have a nice GSX and $2.5k or so to spend on a 1g. Strip out the 1g throw on $1k in mods and you should be able to go 11's again.

Striped and only $1000 in mods will get you running 11's in a 1g?
I really dont see that being possible unless you strip out like 1000lbs worth of crap.

Ostrich + sensors to run dsmap or a 2g mas $200
DIY 3" exhaust $100
ebay intercooler kit $100
logger cable $5

That's $1005. Assuming most people keep their widebands from car to car. Probably need a clutch too, unless you find one that has a new one. Also an eprom ecu if it didn't come with one. I guess $1500 is probably more reasonable. Again, assuming you get a mechanically sound car to begin with. I've seen setups with those mods sell for $2k around here. Mine was $900 and had most of that already.
 
I would absolutely not not let it go. 2G's are nice and all, and GSX's are hard to come by and are pricey, but i still wouldnt do it. 1G's are a dying breed with every day its harder and harder to find one in an acceptable shape. 1G's are dying and I wouldnt let one go for a 2G, especially if im already running 11s. Hell no.

Still gonna need a AFPR, and im assuming you have to run highboost on that 16g to get 11's so ARP headstuds.

I dont think that still would be enough to run 11's. Maybe high 11's with VERY SEVERE stripping of the car and excellent driving with a supberb tune. Even than I still think it would be very difficult to hit high 11's. Anybody agree?

as for me I am trying to sell my eclipse 2g gst 97 to buy a eagle talon tsi awd or an eclipse gsx 1g :thumb:

I love the Frog headlight the 1g have LOVE EM!!! ROFL
 
Hell I'll trade you 2 91 TSi Awd for yours. I have one silver with 69000 on it. And DD black cherry....with a bit of a rough body but not bad, still shines up! I love the white 1Ga cars. Don't do it man. Trade it to me i'll drive both cars to you. LOL
 
I would, getting to 11's is... easy.

He has a tsi not a tsi awd.

I mean dont get my wrong i love the loo of the 2g's over the 1g's I dont know why i just do. But your car's running 11 second quarter mile time's. If you alreayd ahve a 6 bolt to build dd the syder and get the gxx on the road and get it running the way you want and switch over insurance's IM 18 and my insurance is going to be $205 a month with my own policy So i know what it's liek to have pricey insurance. So I dont see how you;d afford over $300 a month for both those car's at 16 years old since thats when youll get your license.
 
in my truretuner family, we have 1g talon and 2 2g's gsx and gst and we think that they r all good DSM but if i was u i would stay with your car and if u really want a 2g buy a shell and go that way it will be better for you but that is what i would do tell the dude that u would buy them off him but i would not traded
