Can Two 1g Intercooler be together?

I was wondering if two intercoolers could be welded together for that extra cooling is it possible??? and if so is it worth it???

Yes it can be done. is it worth it I am not to sure.

Where would you mount them? Upfront is the only place that makes sense to me.

Do you have access to someone that can weld aluminum?

Have you checked into the cost of an intercooler alone (minus the plumbing)?

I have to admit...
I had two 2G intercoolers welded together.

It works, but with all the cutting and welding... it was not worth it.

What's your application?

Well at the moment am having my head pulled out to do some work to it. As I looked under the passenger side and started to think that if I take the fog lights out I might have some extra room and since the intercooler will cost me 60.00 from an 92 I could probably have them joined or something increasing cooler air flow if cutting is needed I have no problems with that I just dont want to go to a FMIC because I do autocrossing and it would bump me up in class and yet I havent raced this car at all only have it for 6 weeks now just wondering since am working on it and it wont see street time until everything possible is done to it (engine rebuild that is)

Am I understanding right? You want to join two stockers and mount them on the side? If that's the case you are totally better off with a supra side mount. Something like this;
