okay let me clear this up.
I won't to put the 6bolt 1g into the 2g engine bay....I ..well my g/f threw a rod...so..I'm trying to figure out how this is going to work. Cause I noticed that the 6bolt has alot more sensors and stuff on it.

That is everything. There is a wiring diagram to click on aswell.

Give us a list of specifics you are looking for.

okay there is a cam angle sensor on the 1g..theres isn't on the 2g.
also
the water houseing on the 1g has like more sensors on it....? Ya and the 2g dont.
..I think thats about it..besides will have to put the 2g intake mani on the 6bolt..I think thats about it.......

The 2G does have a CAS. On the 95-96 it is located behind the cam gears. On the 97-99 it is in the same place as the 1G.

Buy yourself a 1G intake manifold. It will give you more flow and cause less headache later. They are SUPER cheap.

yes I have a 96 talon..
okay...I have a 91 eagle talon...awd...IT HAS EVERYTHING!! nuff'n is missing...hole motor hole trany hole drive train..nuff'n is wrong..but I thought the 2g tb is bigger?
it sure looks bigger...okay...so just change out the fuel rails? and what about the thermostat housing? it looks like it has more sensors?

been told that i have to drill into the side of the head??? for the cam sensor??!
what is up w/ that?

Uh where are you reading this? a CAS fits on any head, there's a rubber donut there on 95-96 DSMs.

i have a entire 1g motor in my car -- ya block off the extra holes in the water neck.
you dont need to drill anything for the cas -- a 1g head all ready has eveything.
Use the 1g intake and "tee" off a vacume line for the MAP sensor,

isn't there ANYTHING that needs to be rewired?!?
Something on the temp housing?....ain't there more sensors on there....
I got the rewire digram for the cas...but looking to see if anything else needs to be taken care of..
and again I'm puting the WHOLE motor into my 96 not just THE HEAD
the whole MOTOR!

hanks for all the replies so far.

I know this thread is old, i hope someone can help, i am having some difficulties with my swap, i got a jdm cyclone vr4 motor from japan, going into my 1997 eclipse, all mods have been done, it is back in the car, ready to be fired up, when i go to turn my key, i get nothing i just sounds like my fuel pump is on, when we jump the starter it makes a nasty grinding sound. Any suggestions?

i just my eclipse back...

Thank you,

Ouch, bad choice with buying an engine like that. Most of the people that sell them wont help you if they sold you a bad one. You might want o call them an tell them they sent you a bad engine an see what they say. I did hear of one person that told them that an they sent another engine to him an didn't want the broken one back. That just goes to tell you how much those engines cost them.

hello,

i was told by a few people this was the engine to get... the person who sold it to me is a personal friend he got it from japan along with about 40 other car clips, hes been helping out as much as he can but he is a honda guy, he told where to go to find the swap info.

My question is, anyone who has ever done one of these did you have a problem with the starter not making contact with the flywheel?

the engine i got was supposed to of came out of a galant vr4 which is a awd vehicle, im wondering if maybe thats why my starter is making a clacking noise and is not fully engaging the flywheel, does anyone if this is so? can i just go to a local auto parts store and grab a starter for a vr4? will that work?

Thanks
Brian
