1g throtle wire on 2g. IT WORKS!

so i wanted to get rid of my cruise control crap under the hood to clean out engine bay and have less things go wrong.

but buying a new 2g spyder non cruise wire was to expensive
and i couldnt find any in the junk yard

all there was that didnt have cruise control where the 1g 2.0 liters
so i decided to take a chance since it looks to be the same length.
taking it home i only notice one slight thing you had to do and that is turn the tubing from the firewall side about 30-40 degrees to the left so the top bolt will clear and it fits like a glove

just make sure that if you want to do this you dont kink the tubing in the process or it will pinch the line.

at the end of the day the wire only cost me about 10 bucks and its been working for me for a week with no problems at all.
just wanted to share this info with those who dont already know.

the same way smarty you can also look for similar looking cables from hyundai's with 4g63 looking engines or mirages or any mitsu without cruise. some of the cables might be a bit longer but they will still work

yeah like mentioned before you just gata get lucky and find a dsm with no c/c since where i went all they had is 1g dsm i though i try it and it worked. as for other cars i cannot confirm this. i was thinking about pulling a couple more from some dsms and posting them on classifieds if people show enough interest. and of course it would be lot cheaper than getting them from dealer or parts catalog.
