Crazy thing started happening in my car today. When on the freeway I pressed the clutch and the rpm seemed to get stuck at 3000 rpm, as if I was revving it up. I disconnected the battery at work, reconnected it and went for a test drive for about 5 minutes. No problem. Drove back home and on the freeway it started doing it again.
My gas peddle does not seem be stuck or acting funny. My guess is that it has to do with the ECU...

Any idea's?

Thanks all.

I had the same problem and my throttle body was gummed up on the inside try taking the throttle cable off quick n seeing if it moves freely and returns back.I took it off n had it rebuilt n fully cleaned no problems now.

does it idle at about 3k when its giving you the problem or is it only when shifting?

Basically it idles at about 3000 with the clutch pushed in, or if the transmission is out of gear. When I let out the clutch and the car starts to move the rpms dip like normal.
