I have seen the Megan Strut Bars, not impressed, they seem as if they would flex too much and give ZERO benefit, I am looking for a solid one piece design.. I have seen the DC Sport and I like those immensely but alas they only make them for the 2G platfrom..

Here is my inquiry, does ANYBODY but Megan make strut bars for the 1G, or are you left with either Megans or creating a custom 3 point setup that ties into the firewall? I am currently running an ST rear sway and FEAL Coilovers, I am looking for something to help give less chassis/body roll as I want to do a little Auto-X and Hill Climbs this summer for fun..

I am guessing the ultimate eliminator of both would be a roll cage eh?

Strut Bars don't effect body roll they only help stabilize the tops of the strut towers for improved rigidity to reduce flexing under side loads which should improve responsiveness to directional changes. Roll centers are the body roll parameters & heavy springs and or anti-roll bars.

Thanks for pointing that out, I guess I am just looking for more Chassis rigidity then, as I already have a ST rear Swaybar (I have a front also but have been told that the stock one is sufficent)...

I guess my next logical step is a nice roll cage LOL...

I have two similar front st bars. I've driven with both and both preform the same. I believe their no name, havnt looked that hard to see if there brand was anywhere on them. Both are one peice not the three point you were asking about.

I ran a no-name bar I got from ebay on my 1g for the ~12 years I had it, and frankly I doubt a fancier one would've made a difference.

The biggest thing I wished for was that the bar was straight, rather than having a small bend at both ends to add clearance. The Clearance wasn't needed, and it made it much harder to get the bar in and tighten it down. What I ended up doing to get it in and tightened up, was to get a friend and myself up on the front core support to compress the suspension, and then put the bar on at the absolute minimum width. My butt dyno said it worked well, and you could tell that the shock towers didn't move out nearly as much when lifting the car off the ground, so I called it a win. Here's a pic https://i.imgur.com/VLzNxwW.jpg that shows the bar in the engine bay.
