1G removing A/C system question

I'm in the middle of removing my emissions & A/C system and wanted to know how to empty out the freon safely,thanks

Safely and the correct way is taking to an AC shop to have it vacuumed out.

safe way is to have it recovered back into a tank, but you could vent it to atmosphere if your not an environmental person (but I'm not the one that told you ).

Not too many shops even have equipment to recover r12 anymore. Just crack a line loose and stand back

They should still be able to recover it not to mention quite a few shops will pay to get the R12.

I had to physically pull the 2 hard lines apart before it would leak out, it was a terrible mess. However I also had the appropriate APR on so I didn't have to worry about breathing in toxic gas.
