I cant find either one of these anywhere, advance, autozone, and walmart. Ive tried mitsu, plymouth and eagle. They all look different and dont specify a 1G DSM. WTF?WTF

You're looking at the wrong places bro. Go to Best Buy. You need to tell them to give you a Mitsubishi harness. If you get the one for Eagle, its a different plug....longer and rectangle. The Mitsubishi one has 2 plugs, which you need. As far as dash trim, you don't need one because the stock radio is a single din. If you're missing your center trim then you'll need to get one.

So as far as the harness goes as for a 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse harness...make sure it has 2 plugs. Or you can go to Circuit City and get it if you don't have a Best Buy.

Alright thanks, Ill check out BB. As far as the dash kit, what do people usually do with the space under the cd player? I figured they made a kit with a pocket.

On mine, it had the stock deck and a pocket. All I did was take the bezel off and the pocket wasn't connected to anything, its just a pocket that was pretty much sandwiched tight in there when the bezel is put on.

I put my Kenwood deck on the bottom. I put the cage on the bottom hole of the bezel, and put the pocket on the top hole. Put the bezel back in and once its pressed against the metal, the pocket won't move.

I wired the deck wiring and the harness I bought, then pulled the stock harness and antenna wire through where the cage is. Connected the harness, plugged antenna into deck, plugged deck harness into deck....slide the wires into the cavity, slid the deck into the cage and you're done.

I had to ground the deck to chassis...I used a bolt that is on the underside of the dash...you can see it if you look through that cavity for the deck.

Its easy stuff.....if you don't have any stock parts then you'll have to buy a dash kit/pocket. Just ask them for a 1990 Eclipse kit at Best Buy.

In my 90 I have a radio that takes up the whole portion. I dont have a pocket or anything, its the stock radio, but it has a huge equalizer underneath the radio and all this crap that was cool back in 90. Thats why I was trying to hunt down a kit. It might be worth buying a kit for another car just to get the pocket.

The pocket should be universal, I can't imagine you couldn't find just the pocket somewhere? I'm sure they are all over the internet if you're willing to wait a few days.

One can do two things to find a dbl (or single) DIN door- (what it's offically called in the MItz parts manual): head to the yards, or head to your MITZ dealership and order one..about 38 bucks for a dbl DIN door (and you can also order the single DIN if needed..)

When I hit the yards and find these doors, I grab them. So, I've got some dbl and single DIN doors in my collection.

..and if you're good with a soldering iron, you can sometimes find radio harnesses out at the yards as well. I found three harnesses that I snipped off to reinstall back into DSM's.

I have the dbl DIN door in my TSi. I mounted my radio on the bottom of it and used some flashing and bent up a filler panel then installed some gauges in it. I have no pics now but if I get some I shall post them
