1g n/t radiator on turbo 1g

I just bought a radiator off of a 90 n/t laser at a junkyard, and i was wondering if it is going to work with my 91 turbo automatic eclipse. I know that there are some coolant lines that run from the radiator to the turbo but should everything else work and fit fine?

It will work,but you'll overheat very quickly.The turbo radiator is about 3 times thicker than the n/t ones.I put a turbo one on my old gs when the old radiator went out,my temps dropped about 20*.There arent any lines that run from the radiator to the turbo,just the 2 radiator hoses.

Well I am running a n/t rad in my turbo gs with no problems. I also have a rad from a awd tsi and they look the same to me.

Yea my brother has a 92 turbo laser and they look the same I dont think the n/t's are smaller if different at all compared to the turbo radiators.

yea i think they are the same, because if they were different the guys( like me ) who swapped engines or built their n/t to turbo would have all had the same problem and i dont think any of us has about the radiators. Besides it would have shown up in a thread somewhere by now, i think they are most likely the exact same radiator just like a lot of other stuff with that engine.

They look the same untill you take the caps off.I've taken an n/t one apart and its at least 3 times thinner.Looks at it from the side when its out of the car,you'll see what I mean.Not to be an ass,I don't think,I know.

I thought they where the same also. Never heard of them being different

When I bought mine it said N/t or turbo

well smaller or bigger as long as its clean and the cooling fans are working, and you have good coolant in the radiator then you shouldnt have any over heating problems.

the n/t is smaller. my buddy has one on his gsx and he dosent over heat at all.

Yea it shouldnt over heat unless something is physcially wrong with the radiator itself... i have a n/t radiator on mines i plan 2get a fluidyne aluminum radiator in the future before I get my front mount..

Well I'm sure you wont overheat just going down the road,but as soon as you start racing the temps will go up pretty quick.Basically its like your stock sidemount,its fine for everyday and occasional hard driving,but it heatsoaks pretty quick when you start beating on it.The antifreeze also cools down your turbo and your oil if you still have the 91 and up filter housing.

i have a air cooled oil cooler...!?
I dont do much driving in the day time though normally just at night, if its day time i keep the rpm real low , one because of traffic, two its so hot, and three i just dont like getting on my car much unless its a nice cool night. im not interested in speeding in the heat .
