Here is the thing....we put a turbo crank and pistons is my 1g N/T and the car is running great.....the only thing that we were wondering about is the way it sounds it almost sounds like a turbo could this be due to an aftermarket exaust or have something to do with the crank and pistons? :talon:

I didn't put the engine in myself but my husband did and I could swear that he said there was something different with the crank...something minor...but something different I would have to check with him and find out what it was .....thanks for the input though I appreciate it....I just really don't want people to try to race me in my daily driver N/T cuz it sounds like a turbo ....now when I get my Tsi I have no problems with that :thumb: on the track of course :sneaky:

the crank is the same between turbo and nt.
Probably the exhaust

ok I just talked with my husband and he said the difference between the two was a small pin that goes into the fly wheel that has to come off to work the N/T engine and he said that he removed it with a hacksaw

I'ts a 5 speed and the N/T does not have the fly wheel alignment dowel we had to cut it to align it right

WTF that was odd.....brandon is the person that my husband is re building his engine for him and we have let him use our computer and I guess that his cookies got stuck here somehow......but either way the above reply was mine :coy:

I just wanted to verify: So there is no difference at all between the 6-bolt turbo and 6-bolt N/T cranks, right? No difference in weight, fitment, or strength, right?

Sorry to bring back an old thread, but this is something I want to be sure on and I didnt want to start my own thread with this one here. :dsm:
