Resolved 1g MAF - 2g MAS

Ok so i plan on switching from the 1g mas to the 2g mas. Is it pretty straight forward..Disconnect 1g..Hook up 2g and plug it in..

Yes.

This should help you out.

Now the 2g mas flows about 20% more than the stock unit. You WILL run lean if you don't have a SAFC or something similar to adjust for this difference. 550cc injectors make a good match for this also.

Hold on, so i can't just plug these right up? Hmm. Maybe i should hold this project off. I already am running lean on these 450s.

It may flow more. But the issue is that it meters lower. Which means that the hertz output it generates is 25 or so % less vs. a 1g maf for the same airflow number. So yes you will run lean without an SAFC. Which does a decent job of dialing in a 2g maf. Another option is an eprom ecu and burning the code for the 2g maf. More expensive options include DSMLink or AEM EMS.

Yes please don't bother with a maf upgrade if your running out of injector. Do you have a logger? If not, this should in fact be your first purchase.

^^ What I meant. Guess I should have explained it a little better.

I'm at about -10 on my SAFC with 650's so if 650's are 30% larger that would mean I'm compensating 20% for the 2g mas.
