What are the symptoms? Does anything show up on the screen? More information would help.

what kind of software? what kind of cable? what problem are you having? how do you have it setup? answering these questions would probably help....

Check the wires that go to the diagnostic port. Mine come out every now and then. Make sure they're hooked up in the correct connectors also.

yea, my OBDII port has a very loose connection. Just try wiggling the connectors together and unplugging/plugging it in a few times.
