logger not connecting

I barrowed a logger of a friend and it cannot stablish a connection on my car, it works fine on his car and also on my bros honda so i was thinking that the problem is in my obd2 plug but what could it be? I checked all the wires and they are not cut anything like that.

Is the red grounding cable in the 12v pin? And is your friends car a 1g or 2g?
