So I accidently bought an intake pipe for my car that has no provisions for the PCV, or any nipples at all. It's a non recirc intake which is fine because I have collected all the parts for my MAF translator setup. But I chose a pipe with no fittings at all thinking only of the blowoff valve, and not the other two hoses that go to the intake. Does anyone have any suggestion on what to do? I do have a craftsman drill, I suppose I could buy a appropriate sized drill bit and get some fittings from HDR (home depot racing) and do it that way. Is there any other options? All the threads on here are people arguing about just letting it vent to atmosphere and change your oil more often etc. I just want to do it right, and I don't see a lot of consensus on what is the right way to do it. What do the people that don't run any hoses at all to their intake do?

you can let your blow off vent. make sure it is before your mass air flow meter. meaning install it before your your mass air flow meter.

The breather on the vc helps remove the blowby vapors with vacuum pressure when hooked into the intake. If it where me i would tap one hole for the vc, then pull and cap all emissions related junk.

Good to hear you're interested in quality work :thumb:

Well yeah, barbed NPT would work but may look a bit overkill and probably the most expensive way to do it. (fittings themselves, tap, drill bit for the overkill hole)

Could get a barb fitting with no threads (union barb) drill slightly smaller and smack it in, then finish with your finest JBweld weld. A little cheaper

Junkyard, cut off various vacuum nipples on cars etc and JB them in. A little tricky figuring how to secure fitting besides the JB weld itself. Cheaper

Chop up some brake line for hose nipples (really cheap!)

Drill a hole for a tire valve to fit in and push that in (remove core) Oh and that idea can only be used if you take an after picture and post it...

Find rubber grommet that is smaller than the hose going through it. Drill pipe, install grommet and push hose in, it shouldn't fall out and that'd look cool! IMO.

Good luck, interested in others' ideas...

I think I'm gonna go with the first idea. The NPT fitting seems to be the best in terms of quality. I'll seal it with teflon tape for good measure, and when it's all together I'll paint the whole intake tube black including the fitting in one go so it looks like it was supposed to be there.
I like the union barb fitting idea but the problem being I don't want to hit the pipe and damage it. I don't like the idea of JB Welding almost anything to be honest. I've used JB Weld to mend a plastic headlight housing for my Grand AM and that's about all I'd trust it for.
