My balance shafts were a major bi*** to come out. I had to beat and beat on them to get them out. Of everything I tried to get them out, using the front shaft backwards and pressed against the bearing worked best. But be careful still... I thought I was in the clear and then as I went to put the front bearing back in, it separated on me.

yeah, i'm probably just gonna drill and tap the block, it just seems a little easier, but it's all going together well, just ordered the turbo and intercooler, and the main studs, ACT clutch flywheel, and some other stuff will be here by the end of the week....mmmuuuahahahahahahaha

LOL
That's great!
Have you had the block alignbored for studs? It might not be as important on a 6bolt as a 7bolt since its a better block, but studs distort the block different than the factory main bolts do. It can lead to misalignment and possible crankwalk. Might want to check with your shop to see if they think it will be a good idea to switch to studs.

yeah the alignment is good for using the studs. i had checked it earlier with a straight edge and feeler guages and it was well with in any kind of spec tolerance, i haven't heard of studs distorting the block in any way, although i do know they make the dowels for that, i forgot where i saw them, but it should be fine just with the studs alone....anyone know where to get a T-4 flange?....or better yet an o2 housing that will accept a T-4?.....
