Hey guys-
I have been searching like crazy all day, trying to find this. Where is the IAT sensor located on a 1993 Mistubishi Eclipse GS. All I could find when I searched was for 2g or people just saying "why would you need to know where it is", not answering my question.

Thanks in advance....

Thanks...one problem I have is I haven't gotten around to picking up a service manual...you wouldn't happen to have a photocopy of the page would ya? Or if someone knows (no flaming please) where I would put a resistor to "trick" the iat I would appreciate the info. I just wanna try the resistor trick myself even though I know most people frown upon it. Thanks.

You can put the variable resistor inside the MAF, at the MAF connector, or inside at the ECU.

Here's the old school tuning link http://www.ecanfix.com/~mdhamilton/fuelmod.html

Steve

The problem that I have is that I don't know where to put the resistor in at...in the MAS, there is a 6 pin connecter(the one that connects to the outside of it) and I don't know which pins to use. Or if that is even the right place to be putting it? Any more info would help, thanks so far for the replies, I have read myself out of wanting to try this, but I would still like to know what I would need to do. Thanks.

Your car frowns upon it, too. However, if you want to keep the oil washed off the cylinder walls, overload your cataclysmic diverter and never let the ECU realize the engine's reached operating temperature, by all means knock yourself out.

If you want to do the things that help, and that people have figured out over the last fifteen years, there's a tuning guide link on the home page. All that stuff works, and works the best of anything anyone has tried and uses. Trying to fool the ECU isn't one of them.

Like I said...I read alot more on dsmtuners and decided I really don't wanna do it. Thanks for reading that part  So you can delete this thread or close it or whatever. Thanks :thumb:
