1G 1g factory radio replacement kit

I went to best buy and Walmart looking for the kits to install when changing the factory radio out and ill I found were 95-99. What kit are you 1g guys using?

You shouldn't need anything to install a non stock radio. The stock brackets can work with an aftermarket single din unit. The bottom parts is harder as that pocket has been discontinued for some time. You can likely make something else work but I don't know of any kits.

Do you think a 95-99 pocket would work?

I don't know. I doubt it's a bolt in.

I used the stock bracket and it worked just fine, although the black faceplate, I had to cut out that ridge in the middle. I had to physically wire in my aftermarket stereo. Check this out, it helped me out a ton.

I got my install kit from best buy. You have to go back to the audio shop for it. its not on the shelves. I had to get mine from the guys at the install bay, and you have to know if you have the premium radio or the non premium. Meaning infinity or not. I know they have one. I bought mine last year. Check in the audio install bay and ask them. They had to look it up, but its not a scorcee one like walmart has.

If you mean the bottom pocket, i do not have that, I blocked mine off for gauges and switches

Brackets off the stock radio to bolt it up.
Buy a harness don't hack the factory harness.
Check the classifieds/partouts or junkyard for the "pocket"

I did get the harness from best buy, and the bottom pocket is the one that I need.

Here is a pic of the factory brackets and the new cd player. The holes on the cd player dont match up(the cd player holes are way smaller and dont have threads). How do I make this work?

anyone know where i could get a cheap pocket for a 1g?
