Does anyone know if the only difference between 6 bolt and 7 bolt knock sensors is the plug for the harness since 1g and 2g are different? In a 6 bolt swap for a 2G, shouldn't you use a 2G knock sensor?

Is there anyway of telling what threaded hole is the right one or does it matter? I know what side of the block it goes on but does it matter whitch hole?

does this look right? I can't tell, I've been trying to use the freeze plugs as a reference point but the blocks look different.
