Well after all my purchases I decided that I didn't want to throw my new fans on my old ugly stock radiator. So I started doing some research and talking to some friends, after looking at the prices of the name brand ones I decided that it wasn't something that was worth that much to me. I tried researching the Ebay cores but couldn't find any solid info. After a few weeks of debae I bit the bullet and ordered the Ebay radiator. And I must say that I am very impressed with the looks/quality of it as far as I can tell. I think some Never- Dull/Blue Magic (recommended by: Need4speed255 , Thanks btw) is in order for it, to give it the extra touch. I'm not no welder but I think the welds look pretty nice to me. Anyways here's the pics so far. I'll post up some more after I install the fans. I purchased this fan from CXRacing for $174.99 and $67.97 for the fans. For a total of $242.96.

Well just as an update, I finally snapped a few pics and finished the wiring of the fans and such and here is the finished product heat shrink and all. Comments welcome. I do still need to polish it up though.

It would be cool if you could take some before and after water temps. I myself am a fan of ebay products, as long as you are a smart consumer.

Thanks for all the compliments. :D

I try and watch what I buy and from who I buy it from. For example if someone lists an item as name brand and it clearly isn't Ex: Type S, HKS SSQV, Type RS BOV's, then I know to stay away from that vendor.

I think the fans will do just fine in my climate type. I'm overwhelmed at the quality I got for the price I paid with both items.

As for testing I just installed the Water Temp gauge this last winter so I can only know what my current temp is. I will be sure to post that info as a follow up asap (keep in mind I'm still installing my mods :sneaky:)

I'll post up some follow up pics once installed. Hopefully it will be this weekend being that the local Dragstrip just got cancelled their opening day. :toobad::mad:

So you got the fans from the same seller on ebay. They look a little different than the ones they sell now. Did the fans have a factory style connector on them or did you cut of the old ones and put them on the new fans? Looks pretty good and now they have the package for 179 plus shipping. :thumb:

The fans were from SIS (Silicone Intake Systems) and the radiator was from CXRacing. Both from Ebay but different sellers. I was told that Autozone has these fans also but they are like ~$35 each.

As seen above the fans just have male and female terminals on it. I cut them off re-routed the wires to my liking, heat shrinked the wires after braiding them, bridged the fans and then made pig-tails after heat shrinking all that. I plan on cutting the stock connector off my old stockers and attaching it to the pig-tail I made. :D

All that wasn't necessary but I try and improve anything if I can. My goal is to slowly clean the hole engine bay up a little at a time.

As far as the price I spent $7.96 more. I can deal with that. :sneaky::rocks:

I had those same fans in my 1g. There's just something about the stock shrouding around the stock fan that seems to do the job better. My car tended to run alittle hot when running both 12" slim line fans. I went back to just the stocker and it worked better and i was in the correct temperature range.

Yes let us know, im thinking about replacing my radiator with a aluminum one, and
the fans. Looks good though, Ebay is hit or miss, looking forward
to more posts.

Well as an update sort of, I plan on selling my project and plan on picking up a 2Ga Talon AWD and building on it. I'll swap this radiator in after I post up some pics of the car and the plans for it.

Why are you doing that? Dont you have the 6 bolt motor and 4 bolt rear end in that car?

That's correct. But this car already has a built 6 bolt and looks real clean. It's still crossing my mind on keeping my 1G instead of selling it and getting the 2G but I just want a nice clean car that I can mod. :(

The only thing my 1G needs is a paint job. I just don't know what I want.

I also have not been thrilled with the SLS fans. I have the Mishimoto radiator with 2 silicone intake fans, 12" and 10" running at the same time and have seen my temps climb on hot days. They just don't push/pull enough air (I've tried in both configurations).
