1g carbon fiber pop up headlight covers

This guy seems real good im looking to get my stck 3 pice spoiler on my 90 eclipse in full carbon fober i would love that is there anyway i could get a quote or maybe a number to call him i would like to talk to this guy. Does he stay in your area if so where is he located? thanks for any help.

and keep in mind that if there isn't enough folks in on this with real money than it is hard to do at a low cost. As long as Nick can get a large number that is intrested like there is SO FAR then the cost of molding and such can be offset. If just one guy wants them than he unfortunately is going to accumulate the cost of tooling and molding. But ya'll knew this already.

I don't know about Nick but I had to log off for awhile.
For your spoiler you must remember that for starters you will have to have a spoiler to donate for the mold...you get it back though. Now that has to be prepped for the plug which equals time and materials, from the plug a master mold is made AND this will definitely be a multi-peice mold, then the actual part can be made. All is charged for.
Now, you have to pay for ALL that, not just the finished part. Everyone gets sticker shock when they want a new part made that is not available but do not realize the work going into it. You basically have to recreate the part 2-3 times for a finished result. Hence the need for a group to offset the cost and getting that many folks together to send money is TOUGH!!
I resell Frank's hoods as well as Nick who is repping for him also (before me even). PM Nick and he can give you some more info. Nick even has one of Franks hoods on his car and as soon as I sell my NEW hood I will replace it with one from Frank's. While I may specialize in interior parts in carbon Frank kicks my ass when it comes to true race body parts! His work is awesome. Correct me if I am wrong Nick but the hoods weighs like 6-8 pounds!!
I will be using my Talon for a molded one peice front clip this spring which will be sweet and you do not even what to fathom the work that will go into that!!!
If you go to Franks web site you can email him personally but you will not get a detailed or indepth explanation of price breakdowns. Frank assumes you know that if you are inquiring to begin with...that you already know the part has to go thru several stages first.

I am down at the shop with Frank everyday. Carbonwerks is ran out of the same building. Anyhow, if everyone is still serious about this I will see about making the molds and having the parts listed on Carbonwerks' web site. I am not sure about pricing yet till I lay out materials and time. 1 gen hoods can still be purchased from Frank's and the pop up covers will be thru us.
Now one concern is that different hoods might have the weave running in different dirrections from hood to hood. I am curious as to which way most of the hood's weave runs...the darker lines running which way?

about the 1g spoiler you are making. Are you making just the 3 piece for the 1g eclipses, or are you also making them for 1g talons where the shole thing extends all the way to the mirrors? Also did you still need a set of headlights to use to mold it outta? I have 2 cars and the Talon never gets driven because I'm constantly working on it and I try to keep as many miles off of it as i can. So if you need anything donated to help this cause, lemme know and i can lend stuff out. I think i read on here its like 350+shipping for the hood. How much would that be shipped to Arizona 85364? And how is everything coming? Any progress or new word? Have the molds been made yet or are you still "waiting". I guarantee people are becoming less interested because of how long this is taking.

Yes they are, but I will soon have the money for them and a CF hood, I know on there website they have hatch's listed for 92-94 I think.

What about 1990's? will the same hatch work? If so this would be plane awsome to have a CF stripe basicly down my white/black 2 tone car

the only hatch i seen on there site is the hatch COVER, which i thought was like a lid to cover up what's inside the rear hatch. Kinda like how the cars came with a stock cloth one. It sounds to me like you think its the actual exterior hatch part that is carbon fiber. anyways, i was interested in this but i don't think i am anymore, seems like someone just sparked interest with everyone and then never followed through. I mean this thread was started close to a year ago. And there isn't even a mold or anything made yet.

I want a wing, and it should be a stock wing.......Take the stock wing and extend it out a little bit more. Make the rear of it come up a inch or more high to make some down force.

I have a local guy that makes custom 1 peice front ends etc, race bodies what ever you want.

He said he could take my stock wing and fully wrap it in carbon fiber, makes the costs alot cheaper and the stock wing doesnt even wight that much so its not really losing alot of weight.


So make a nice wing that is a little largers and wider than stock, and would still look nice on a 1G.
