1g bov problem

why is it everytime i let go of the pedal my 1g bov make s squick like a bad brake pads. is the mean that the bov is done ( time to replace )?

The diaphragm or a seal on the inside may be bad. Also check the vacuum line for the BOV. A boost leak test will tell you for sure.

Is your bov crushed if it is you may have crushed it to far and its not opening all the way.

I would deff. do a boost leak test before you worry about anything else at this point. That will tell you if you are going to need to replace your BOV. If you do you should be able to find a good used one pretty easy. I know I have one sitting in my garage on my extra set of upper intercooler piping if you can’t find one that I can sell you for cheap.

Is the top of your bov bent in (crushed) if not it will be flat across the top.

See how the hat on the top of the 2nd photo is bent down? Also the nipple is almost touching the rest of the hat.
